Who We Are

Healthy Food, Happy Land

Clips Farming Enterprise is a family owned agribusiness. It is located 100 meters away from the M1 Road, past Partners in Hope Clinic and next to SOS Technical and Entrepreneurship Institute in Lilongwe District. The farm started with pig farming but later diversified into raising local and Boschveld chickens. The farm also grows a variety of vegetables and cultivates over 300 different fruit trees, including mangoes, oranges, guavas avocados, plantains, and mushroom.

Our Story

Clips Farming Enterprise (CFE) started with rearing pigs with a pork production capacity of about 4,000 kilograms per annum. However, the business had to sell all its pig stock because of over cross-breeding.

The farm intends to start over with the camberough breed which provides higher quality pork. The farm has since diversified into raising local and Boschveld chickens and also cultivates over 300 different fruit trees, including mangoes, oranges, guavas avocados, plantains, and mushrooms.

In addition, the farm keeps bees at a small scale, mainly for pollination purposes. The Manure from the chickens is processed through a bio-digester system for the production of biofertilizer and biogas. The bio-fertilizer is applied to the fruit trees and vegetables. The farm has a borehole with a solar powered submersible pump with 10,000 liters’ water storage capacity and a fully functional drip irrigation system. This allows the farm to grow fruits, vegetables and other crops 3 to 4 times a year.
